If you’re one of the millions of fans of Jessamyn West’s Librarian.net, and you’re worried sick because librarian.net [As seen in the NY Times!] doesn’t seem to be working, just relax…
The rarin’ librarian is having some DNS issues, and has a temporary site parked at ibiblio.org/jessamyn.
Now, I know what you’re all thinking “But Blake, why doesn’t she have her site on LISHost? Such a thing would never happen there!”
Well, let’s just say, it wasn’t from lack of me trying!
Update: 10/01 14:23 EST by B:I knew “Where for” didn’t look right, though, I am now told, “Wherefore” doesn’t do it either, maybe I should’ve just made it “What happened to librarian.net”?
Pet peeve
“Wherefore” doesn’t mean where; it means why. In the original (“Wherefore art thou Romeo”), Juliet is asking why he is Romeo Montague, a member of a family that was an enemy to hers.
Re:Pet peeve
Yeah, ok, so I’m not up on my Shakespeare, ’twas a mistake of stoopidity!
Re:Pet peeve
Thank God for you sir!
If not for your nit-picking we might have had a moment of levity!
