It still comes up at my library. But CIPA will take care of that come June. Thankfully, patrons 17 and older will be able to ask that we disable the filters (16 and under–fuggedaboudit–they got no rights). The crappy part is that they will have to access a blocked site first, and then ask. They won’t be able to ask for it to be unblocked when they start their session. We will not, however, ask if they are doing “valid research” or whatever verbiage CIPA has–we’ll just do it. One more reason I’m ready to move away from public library work.

I only just recently subscribed to Bust on a whim – got only one issue so far – the Winter 2003 issue w/ Kelly Osborne on the cover. After reading this news post I can’t wait for my next issue! 🙂 I knew I was on the right track with this magazine! 😉
