Gov. Mike Rounds’ plan to review the many tentacles of the Internet on state sites could turn into a tangled web of questions about what is considered objectionable, says The Argus Leader. While The Associated Press reports Gov. Mike Rounds plans to expand a review of the South Dakota State Library’s Web page to include all state Internet sites that are under his control.

The Editorial & Opinion at The Black Hills Pioneer says “It’s not really censorship.” They say Removing a convenience is not censorship. If Mr. Rounds had sent state troopers to the Internet service provider hosting Planned Parenthoodís site and ordered them to smash the computer server hosting the website so that nobody could ever see it, that would be government censorship.
