The Library Has a Secret

The Editorials Section of The Ledger says it knows about a well-kept secret about how to improve scores on the Florida Comprehensive Assessment Test that students are required to pass in order to advance. And now the secret is becoming common knowledge.

A recent study by the University of Central Florida found students who attend schools with a wellstaffed library that circulates its books do much better on FCAT scores than students at schools with underequipped libraries.
