Aussie Seaman Admits to Pirated Book Booty

Fang-Face writes “Here’s a brief (too brief) piece of news from way out in left field. An
American Libraries Online article reported the case of a 23 year Royal Navy (Australia) veteran who got busted with 1,000 books stolen from one Naval and one public library, over a four year period. For no reason at all apparently. He’s facing a five year sentence if convicted.”

    On another report states that this guy pinched over $200,000 (Australian?) worth of rare books. His lawyer is quoted as sayng:

    “This is nothing to suggest any dereliction whatsoever to his duty or to his honesty within the navy.”

    OK.
