You can’t go ‘shhh!’ to librarians with money to burn: On Wednesday afternoon, the Vancouver Education Association gave teacher-librarians at every elementary, middle and high school money to purchase books of their choice at the Barnes & Noble on Fourth Plain Boulevard.
This is the second year the teachers’ union has provided this bonus at Barnes & Noble, featuring Shawn Sorensen, a 6-foot-7 Barnes & Noble community relations manager, in a snug Dr. Seuss costume.
Holy geez
$1800/ year to purchase books. I knew it was bad I didn’t know it was that bad.
