Archivists block release of Clinton papers

Federal archivists at the Clinton Presidential Library are blocking the release of hundreds of pages of White House papers on pardons that the former president approved, including clemency for fugitive commodities trader Marc Rich.
That archivists’ decision, based on guidance provided by Bill Clinton that restricts the disclosure of advice he received from aides, prevents public scrutiny of documents that would shed light on how he decided which pardons to approve from among hundreds of requests.

    How can you approve something’s release and then provide guidance to your staff not to release it?

        Of course I am calling former President Clinton a scumbag for a number of reasons most significant his lying.

        I don’t care if Mrs. Clintons phone records are ever released, what are they going to say?

        I don’t think it is simply Clinton who is a scumbag, he is a lawyer and thus inimical to the truth. I never trust anyone who can’t give a simple straight answer.

        If you always tell the truth, seldom do you have to argue about the meaning of the words you use. The nonsense about the meaning of is, certainly is an appropriate comment. How could you possibly trust anyone who debates the meaning of the word is? Anyone who has to parse their comments and define each of their words in order to change their plain meaning to something that shows them in a better light is a scumbag.

        Yes, if I ever decide President GW Bush is a scumbag, although I doubt that will happen, I will ask for my money back and tell him why.

        Just because someone is a Republican, does not mean I will not think they are scumbags (see also Florida scumbag)
