Worries at Elsevier?

    1995
    I read an article in 1995 that predicted the death of Elsevier. Elsevier was to be killed by the internet. Now it is almost ten years later and they are not dead yet.

    In addition to supporting journals that are open source we should also support journals that are low cost. If a journal is providing good information at an reasonable price they should be supported. Not everything can be free. Every academic press in the country should create at least one journal and many academic libraries should consider the idea as well.
