Wichitans ready to help fill school library shelves

Anonymous Patron writes The Wichita Eagle Reports Wichitans are already responding to a call for books to replenish school library shelves.

Even before members of the Rotary Club of Wichita formally announced their community book drive with a news conference at Jefferson Elementary School on Thursday, calls were beginning to stream into Rotary offices, said Deanna Harms, Rotary member and senior vice president of the Greteman Group.

“They want to know how they can help, when we’re starting, where they can drop off books,” she said. “There’s been an immediate response.””
