Welcome to Becky’s chaotic library swamp

The Peterborough (Ont.) Public Library was hit hard by the July 15 floods caused by getting 7 to 8 inches of rain in a 24-hour period. Several feet of water and sewage poured down into the lower levels, severely damaging historical documents (the Peterborough Collection), desks, storage areas, and multi-use space. MyKawartha.com has a short interview with head librarian Becky Rogers. Because of the damage, building hours and services have been cut back until repairs are done.
