University libraries go green by cashing in on unneeded books

From the minivan-driving mom carrying a chic cloth tote to the grocery store to the celebrity cruising around town in a hybrid vehicle, it can seem like everyone is going green.

Add libraries to the list.

    Betterworld Scam
    The give a percentage to profits they claim. The problem with profits is this. Say they make $1000 profit but then they gibe $999 in pay to the executives that run Betterworld. Then the profit is only $1. Then they give 5% of that to charity. Wow, a nickel.

    Search Google and you will find articles telling how Betterworld will not disclose the salary of their executives. The reason that is is because all the profits are being dumped into their salaries.

    And for a moment assume that it is no scam. They are making tons of money off of libraries. Why should libraries be giving them the big cut they are. Sell the stuff yourself and pocket the money for your library instead of for Betterworld. Don’t have the staff to sell online. I guarantee you can find people that will sell your stuff and give you a better cut than what Betterworld does. As least open things up for a bid, don’t just take what they offer.
