    Ripe for Deduction
    I had no idea that the young of Manawatu were so immoral that books on the occult can change them into witches or that books on Nazi insignia will make the boys into bloody little Hitlers. But if their grasp on reality is so tenuous that books at the public library can change them into demons, then perhaps it is best if other people stay away. After all, pit bull dogs may be infective, and anyone can become a shady character just by visiting this place where it is so easy to change into something weird. Of course, if everyone was weird, then books on normal people activities would be banned…

    I may move there if it works. Here in Florida I’ve read hundreds of books about diet and exercise and I’m still not the svelte self I desire.

    Trust me, you do not want to move to Palmerston North. I’ve never been to Florida but it has to be better.

    Anyway, the issue with this wasn’t that reading books on the occult was turning teenage girls into witches – it was that the girls were clipping pages out of books, or ‘forgetting’ to return them. Ditto with the car magazines and everything else.
