Their books are on the Booker Prize shortlist

Boston Globe Reports Former winner Kazuo Ishiguro and two-time former nominee Julian Barnes were named yesterday as two of six finalists for the Man Booker Prize, Britain’s best-known literary award. The award, sponsored by the investment company Man Group, carries a 50,000 pound ($91,928) prize. It will be awarded at London’s Guildhall on Oct. 10.
