Supreme Court Rejects Appeal Of Ban Of Bible In Show-And-Tell
The U.S. Supreme Court has refused to hear the appeal of a Philadelphia woman who wasn’t allowed to read scripture during a kindergarten show-and-tell even though the Bible is her son’s favorite book.

    The court denies the vast majority of petitions and thus leaves the decision of the lower court to stand without review; it takes roughly 80 to 150 cases each term. In the most recently-concluded term, for example, 8,241 petitions were filed, with a grant rate of approximately 1.1%

    They took 80 to 150 cases of out 8241. Cases are hand picked to have the best facts. Just because the court did not hear this case really does not say much about what the Supreme Court thinks of the legal issues in the case. 99% of the time they are not going to hear a case.
