Panel finds school was justified in firing librarian

News From NJ A former Pemberton Township school librarian, whose workplace computer showed frequent visits to sexually themed Web sites, has lost a bid to save her job. A three-judge panel on Monday rebuffed an appeal by Darlene Donahue, who was a librarian-media specialist at Newcomb Middle School. Donahue, a 13-year employee, sought to reverse a decision by the state’s Board of Education.

    Defense
    The well respected educator should have told them that it was from showing pornography to students. That may have exonerated the teacher.

    if you’re going to look at “sexually themed” (whatever those are: Match.com?) websites, always remember to tell people that you think someone is using your computer at night or when you’re out sick or whatever: the students did it, or the cleaners did it. always deny. ask for the list of “sexually themed” websites and request that they search for traces of those websites on every computer to try to catch “the real killers.”
