Oprah’s Back With New Books

Oprah Winfrey’s Book Club has ditched the classics. The NY Times reports that the club will again select modern authors (for the first time since 2002 — not long after Oprah’s spat with Jonathan Franzen). The publisher of the newest pick, a 2003 biography on addiction recovery, is printing 600,000 new copies. The book’s also the #1 seller at Amazon, thanks to Oprah’s loyal followers.
