Running Dry…
I was never a fan of the politics, but I’ve been a huge fan of the “From The Stacks Of The Past” feature on the Juice, and it’s great to see “An as-yet untitled collection of essays on libraries originally published between 1876 and 1924 and republished in Library Juice. (If you’d like to suggest a title for this collection please write to me)” in the works. I can’t wait till that comes out! If I was creative I could come up with a name. But it should be neat to watch a new publisher grow.

The Juice had some good stuff over the years and while I didn’t like some of what I read, I always respected Rory for doing so much work for so long. Rory was also an author for quite some time here @LISNews and had a big influence on the site a few years back.

This is one big reason why it’s not “Blake Carver’s LISNews” and just LISNews. If I get burned out I’ll just stop posting and the rest of the crew will keep things running. I’m a big believer in collaboration. I think it makes LISNews much stronger and more interesting that it would be if it was just me posting.

So far LISNews has been with me through 4 jobs, 5 apartments, 2 girlfriends, the deaths of my sister & grandmother, the birth of my daughter, a new house, a wedding, and every other thing that’s happened to me in the 6 years since I got the ball rolling, and I’m still not burned out. But enough about me…

So long Library Juice, it’s been good having you around and I look forward to the books & blog.

Re:Running Dry…
I’d say any wiki LISWiki or any other, are even less about one person, since, in theory, anyone can write anything at any time. At least there’s some editorial control here, though it’s still a team effort. I’m always amazed at how well wikis work.

And speaking of Anne Clyde, I have an article from her waiting to be published in my Reference Librarian issue, not sure what I’m supposed to do now. First the editor passes, and now an author, this issue seems to have some bad mojo workin’.
