Need a new Website? Just Google it!

Christopher Harris writes “If you are looking for a new website, you just might want to check out Google’s new Page Creator. The search giant is now making it even easier for you to flood results with your own content.

This is a rather impressive little tool that I imagine will be getting even better with time. For now, I was able to take about five minutes (no really, five minutes…it is that easy) to create a masterpiece of a page – http://infomancy.googlepages.com. You can select from a variety of CSS templates, and page column layouts, easily upload/resize images, and manipulate text areas. You can even upload non-image files like PDFs to store and link to them within your 100MB of storage space. I cannot seem to get javascript widgets to work, so no displaying RSS feeds until someone figures out how to make it work.”

    Not a website, a webpage!
    The headline is misleading. It allows you to create a single webpage. Sites are made of of more than one page. This may be a picky difference but it is significant.

    You can create as many pages as you want (within the 100mb limit)

    3. How do I create more pages?

    When you first sign in to Page Creator, you automatically get a home page. To add a new page, simply click “Create a new page” in the Page Manager, type in the name of your new page and click “Create.” You can also create a new page in the Page Editor by clicking on “Create new page” near the top left corner.
