Napa’s ‘answer man’ dies at age 65

“A man remembered by many locals for “having all the answers” died Monday at his Napa home with his family by his side.”

“Norm Badion, 65, a local artist and retired reference librarian at the Napa City-County Library, died of leukemia, a disease that hit the healthy man very suddenly.”

“He was playing tennis just a month ago,” said Nan Vaaler, longtime head librarian for the library and a good friend.”

“He was dubbed “the answer man” in a 1988 Register feature story, which recorded the prowess of Badion and his staff at finding obscure facts.” (from NAPA News)
