The 27-year-old from the Broadgate (Lancashire) area was selected in a national competition to find and celebrate the under 30s in England’s libraries who show commitment, originality, passion and creativity. Jake, who lives in the city centre, said: “Librarians of the future must no longer be stereotyped as quiet, staid or severe.
“They must instead be viewed as key-holders and guides to the vast empires of human knowledge and achievement.””
