Cabot writes “Canada’s Governor General, Adrienne Clarkson, spoke at the Regina Public Library yesterday on the importance of libraries in our communities. Her speech is titled “Libraries in our lives: a Love Story.”
“I’m here today to talk to you about what libraries mean to me. We’ve called it “A Love Story” because I have been carrying on a life-long love affair with books. All of us can probably remember that delicious feeling when we first realized that books were important things in our lives. We may know exactly how old we were and right where we sat or lay.”
