Librarian’s Book Club selects book for April

The LBC book selection for April is Free Culture: How Big Media Uses Technology and the Law to Lock Down Culture and Control Creativity by Lawrence Lessig. The author is making this book available for free at his website.

    Interesting Month
    This will be an interesting month for the Librarian’s Book Club because with the book available for free on the internet all the members will have easy access to the book. This book was selected because it has numerous issues that impact libraries. If interested you are welcome to join the discussion.     Everymonth I say to myself “Self, this is the month we read the book O’ the month” and many months I even go and get the book from my local public library… and every month I end up saying to myself “oh damn, we missed it again“

    Am I the only one who wants a bi-monthly book, I think I might be able to finish one book given 8 weeks to do it in.

    I think Blake’s comment is a good one and it would be a good idea to move to a bi-monthly system. I am going to poll the members and see what their view is.

    On another note a friend on mine that is a web developer did some clean up on the design of the site. I invite you to take a look and see what you think. I would be especially curious to hear from people that had seen the previous design.

    Yes, I agree bi-monthly would be helpful.
