Members of the Newport Beach Public Library Foundation are lambasting a decision by the Newport-Mesa Unified School District to prevent the display of a flier advertising this weekend’s Distinguished Speakers Lecture Series talks.

Among the other presenters on this year’s calendar are Joe Klein, author of “Primary Colors,” and conservative columnist Christopher Hitchens.
I wonder if Christopher Hitchens knows if he is a conservative columnist?
Just a guess….
I am venturing a guess that students that would attend a lecture by an author are not the ones smoking crack behind the dumpster.
Better safe than sorry, after all we don’t want children exposed to the reality of differing opinions.
