    There used to be a bar in one of the border cities (Buffalo? Niagara Falls?) called “The Library”. When I was an undergrad, may years ago, it was a common destination for a road-trip from U. Waterloo. You could honestly tell everybody you were “Going to the library” on a Friday night.

    Yup, Buffalo, it’s on Delaware, er, was, I forget if it’s still open. There’s one in Las Vegas as well we’ve run some stories on, or maybe it was in Arizona? I forget.

    One of the vendors had beer, Sam Adams no less, at the ALA midwinter exhibits. I thought it was the best vendor promo to come along in ages, but dang, I can’t remember which vendor! I’ll have to see if some of my drinking buddies remember…

    Most college towns will have one of those. And for the grown ups, there is usually one called “The Office”.
