Associated Press Reports on The 55th Frankfurt Book Fair opened Tuesday with a look at the role of books in today’s world, from literature’s rebirth in postwar nations such as Afghanistan and Iraq to its new face in post-communist Russia.
The Book Fair Web Site is chock full o’ bookie goodness.
Something a little closer to home, for me at least, is the Southern Festival of Books. They say it boasts a particularly strong local and regional flavor, from Mount Juliet’s Will Campbell to Hohenwald’s William Gay to North Carolina’s Lee Smith. Head on down to Tennessee and check it out.
