CAREER TALK: Want to be a librarian

Neat One from Hindustan Times – India: There’s not much there, but it’s neat to see how things are a bit different in India. They say The basic eligibility for the bachelors degree course in library science (B.Lib) is graduation in any discipline. However, for a certificate or diploma course in library science, the basic eligibility is 10+2 or equivalent qualification.

    lisnews is quiet on the comment front today
    Are there lists of what foreign LIS degrees are generally accepted in the US as equivalent to an accredited MLS without further education?

    different in the philippines, too
    most have bachelor’s degrees, some have master’s degrees. all need to be licensed librarians.
