Boston’s Library Displays Restored Murals

The Curmudgeony Librarian writes “The Sargent Murals–one of the showpieces of the Boston Public Library–are back on display after a two-year, $2 million restoration.
The murals entitled ”The Triumph of Religion,” depict the evolution of religion, from primitive paganist gods to Christianity.
While controversial in their depiction of Judaism, the Sargent Murals are considered a masterwork of art. Background information on the murals can be found at “The Sargent Murals at the Boston Public Library.””
