BBC Books sold to Random House

Anonymous Patron writes “Guardian Unlimited Books Reports BBC Books, which publishes spinoff titles from TV shows including Delia Smith’s How to Cook, has been acquired by German media giant Bertelsmann’s Random House.
Random House, the publisher of The Da Vinci Code, has taken a majority stake in BBC Books, which it will merge into its Ebury Publishing division, which has had success in adult non-fiction with the River Café Cookbooks and Robbie Williams’ Feel”

    However….
    I think the ban is stupid, perhaps not for the same reasons, but it is stupid – just wanted to get that bit of housekeeping out of the way.

    St. Petersburg across the bay is having a pride festival. My employer is one of the co-sponsors. There are going to be representatives from out HR department so… be there, be queer, and bring your CV.
