Arizona Shooting Piques Interest in HCI Title

The tragic shooting in Arizona has piqued interest in one seemingly unlikely title from HCI. The nine-year-old girl who died in the tragedy, Christina Green Taylor, was born on September 11, 2001, and was featured in HCI’s book Faces of Hope: Babies Born on 9/11, which came out in 2002. The book was never a big seller for HCI, with just a 10,000-copy first printing, but interest in it has spiked since the events last weekend.

    when I first checked the book last week, there were 3 copies
    left at Amazon. what now? 2-3 weeks backordered. the look inside feature didn’t make the book look like a worthwhile purchase for me. but as soon as I heard The President mention it last night, I figured sales would spike… sadly, because of a murder… you wonder if the publisher would refuse to fill orders out of some moral reservation on profiting from a child’s death… but I guess not. today, the moral obligation is to make money, regardless of the circumstance.
