Alabama State’s libraries get big boost in audio recording collections

Alabama’s public libraries will be getting about 87,000 compact discs later this month.

The free music is the state’s share of a settlement in a 2000 lawsuit that 43 states and U.S. territories filed against a group of record labels and retailers over an alleged price-fixing scheme in the 1990s.”
