WKU library wants to save letters from Iraq

Bob Cox writes of this story from the courier-journal.com

“Western Kentucky University is hoping to enrich its archives with letters that military personnel in Iraq are sending home to their families and friends in Kentucky and surrounding states.”

“During previous wars and conflicts, letters written on paper were the primary method of correspondence, but in Operation Iraqi Freedom many of the letters are being sent via the Internet, observed Patricia Hodges, supervisor of manuscripts and archives at Western’s Kentucky Library and Museum.”
