It happens to all of us eventually. We realize, for a variety of reasons, that it is time to weed the library collection. So we make the necessary painful decisions and end up with a couple of carts full of unwanted books and journals. We can’t face throwing them out, but what other options for disposal are there?
Well, it turns out there are a number of options including donation and exchange and we can even sell some of them as long as they do not contain incorrect or outdated information, are not missing any pages and have not been mutilated or rendered illegible from spilt coffee.
