What’s Doin’ With Google: RSS Ads and More

A bunch of notable Google articles out today. CNet is one place reporting Google has begun selling advertisements for Web publishers’ syndicated news feeds, in an attempt to lead a developing and untested market.

The IHT reports Google’s new product for finding files and e-mails on business computers is the latest effort by the company to get its software installed on personal computers inside companies and guide more users to its Web search engine. Search Engine Journal has a bit more.

ZDNet quotes Google Chief Executive Eric Schmidt who acknowledged that his company’s search engine can ruffle privacy feathers, but said the company’s technology doesn’t violate the company’s founding motto, “Don’t be evil.” Schmidt was answering questions on the stage of the Gartner Symposium here Wednesday.
