    Active Archivists
    This is great…first we have a report of a librarian’s discovery of a Beethoven manuscript
    in PA and now these important historic documents!

    It’s no longer good enough to gather,store,
    stack, and forget…yes, I know archives are
    deluged with stuff, an many have few staff
    to deal with all of it…BUT

    When archivists are active and catalog and create
    EADs and digitize and PROVIDE ACCESS to the
    rare, obscure and historical, they share the
    treasure with all of us, instead of letting
    it be forgotten somewhere gathering dust!
