Torched UGA Library to Reopen

The University of Georgia Library is reopening after being closed for nearly a year due to arson. A 19-year old homeless man has been charged with setting the fire that caused over $1.5 million in damages. He has plead not guilty. According to the article, 400,000 government documents, 300,000 pieces of microfiche, 90,000 books and some used computer equipment were damaged. It’s still to early to determine what items can be replaced and at what cost. Here’s the story and photos.
