Anonymous Patron writes “Jackson Sun – www.jacksonsun.com – Jackson, TN: Madison County commissioners have decided to fight Chancellor James Butler’s recent ruling that the Jackson-Madison County Library Board has the authority to privatize library management.
Passed with a vote of 20 to 3, the motion not only includes a plan to appeal the court’s ruling, but also seeks an injunction to stop the board from outsourcing until the commission’s appeal is ruled upon. Asked after the meeting, Commissioner Fred Birmingham said he didn’t know which higher court would hear the appeal.”
