This librarian’s life isn’t by the book at ‘All’

A librarian memoir by Don Borchert, who says “The library can be the “dullest place in the world — 91% of the time”. His book is titled, “Free for All: Oddballs, Geeks, and Gangstas in the Public Library”–(like the double entendre?) published by Virgin, $21.95, and aims to do for libraries what Bel Kaufman’s Up the Down Staircase did for urban schools in 1965 or what Bill Buford’s Heat did for professional cooks in 2006.
