    I’m looking into the differences in the used syndication markup formats, so I’m reading about RSS (various versions) and ATOM.

    RSS is simpler, but every version of RSS I’ve seen so far seems too simple to do what I want to do.

    I want to supply multiple attachments with an individual story/item. Each item has a recording that goes with it and the recording is available in a number of different formats (Ogg Vorbis, FLAC, and Speex for now, perhaps more later). I’d like subscribers to be able to pick the format that works best for them, so I’d tell them about all the formats I’ve got and they can pick as many as they like to download. All of the information on file type, size is available either in the attachment declaration or with a simple HTTP request that can be done quickly even over a low-speed connection.

    But how do you specify multiple attachments with RSS?
