Teens Not Interested in Twitter, Blogs, Pew Study Says

Teens may have left their blogs behind—but between social networking sites, posts, and texts, their time online has still grown to a striking 93 percent in 2009 from 73 percent in 2000, according to a new study from the Pew Internet & American Life Project.

As part of a series of reports on so-called Millennials, which include younger teens ages 13 to 17, the Pew Research Center found that blogging, while remaining popular with adults, had a meager following among teens with only 14 percent getting online and self- publishing their opinions, thoughts, and expositions, as compared to 28 percent just three years ago.
