SUNY expands library access to 60 campuses

Anonymous Patron writes “Democrat & Chronicle: Local News Any State University of New York student, whether attending Dutchess Community College, Geneseo or Binghamton University, can access more than 18 million volumes and other documents through a new online library that connects 60 campuses, school officials announced Tuesday.”

    An explanation: Warriors
    I see that Tinfoil + Raccoon is listed as a very comment-y blog. While I do think there’s a nice sense of community, I have to confess that my comments have spiked in the past two months owing to the fact that some rabid fankids of the Warriors series have commandeered one of the posts and made it into their own message board. My guess is that there are more than 150 comments on the thread as of today. At first I was a little annoyed, but ultimately, I decided that it is quite charming and resourceful, and I’m glad to provide a space for the discussion of YA literature. (Well, actually, they mostly talk about the fanfic that they’re writing and the clans that they’ve created). I may pop for a blog for them, though, and recruit a couple of author/admins from the bunch.

    Rochelle, Note that all metrics were done for the March-May 2006 period. The number of comments at T+R was high, but not in any sense implausible–I’d guess this comment track didn’t affect it. (I did correct the numbers for one blog that didn’t have spam controls in place, eliminating 840 “comments” on one post…and, of course, letting the blogger know there was a wee little problem there.) Your high comment mark during the studied quarter was about your new job, “Hello Wisconsin!”
