Story time for Grown-Ups

Anonymous Patron writes… “Here’s an interesting feature about a librarian/storyteller in Washington state–Harlan Zinck is a natural ham with a voice for radio.
Two years ago, Zinck, the branch supervisor for the Sumner Library took those traits to a meeting with his boss and made a proposal: to read short stories aloud to the branch’s adult patrons. The library system does lots of children’s programs but not very much for adults. It isn’t going to take very much out of my life. If the Friends of the Library can provide coffee and cookies, wouldn’t it be cool if we did this?

So, pull up a chair and listen to a Tacoma, WA librarian’s reading series, “Storytime for Grown-ups” (story, photo and audio)

here.”
