The Student Printz Reports the tremendous use of social networks such as Facebook and MySpace , the two sites have now been prohibited in three computer labs on the Southern Miss. campus.
Nancy Byers, senior lab assistant and instructional technology graduate student, has mixed feelings about the rule.
“As an employee, my job is to enforce the policy,” Byers said. “But as a student, I see nothing wrong with searching the sites as long as there are not people waiting to use computers for academic use. It helps relax but is shouldn’t come before academics.”
