Anonymous Patron writes “KAIT — Jonesboro, AR: has a small story on a small library. Residents in tiny Williford are scrambling to save their library.
Williford has 63 residents; its library has 5,769 books. Williford is the smallest town in Arkansas with a public library.
Residents are trying to keep the library open, after the death of 94-year-old Glenna Garner, a retired teacher who provided the building and paid the electric bill for 40 years. The library has remained open since Garner died 18 months ago.”
