Small Town Boasts Oldest Free Public Library in Wisconsin

A Nice Little Profile of The Black River Falls Library in Wisconsin. It became the first free public library in Wisconsin in 1872. And after 135 years, people in Black River Falls say the stacks of stories are bringing the community together.

“There are sports teams and things every small town has,” said Basil Holder, who comes to the library every week. “I think in this particular town, the library is an important place.”
