BookCrossing continues to get good press, This One comes from The BBC.
Perhaps unsurprisingly, BookCrossing.com started in the US, but the idea has taken off internationally, with some members releasing literally hundreds of books for others to find.
At the time of writing, there were 56 books released in Wales in the past 30 days that have not been found – and their locations are as diverse as their titles.
Great idea!
BookCrossing is a great idea. I set some stuff free at the American Library Association Annual Conference 2002 but if they were picked up, no one created a journal entry. I do wonder if the cleaning staff just picked them up and tossed them, but I hold out hope that they found a good home.
releasing around librarians
I left a handfull of books around the convention center at ACRL, and while all of them were picked up, only one has been journaled.
