    Author Fest
    I was an author at a bookdealer’s author fest one time. He had a number of local Civil War writers gathered, and he wanted to advertise to the public to “come hear the great Civil War experts discuss their expertise…” sort of crap.
          Actually, he was very disappointed when we began a lively discussion with each other of which publisher was best, what our contracts said, how much we were paid, what our publicity support was, and further stuff of interest to writers but not at all to Civil War buffs, unless they were interested in getting thier book published.
          I was never invited back again to that particular bookdealer, but I certainly had a good time.
