Residents rally to keep branch libraries open

The Boston Globe Reports The bookworms figure they have three weeks to raise some money, make some noise, and save their beloved branch libraries from the budgetary chopping block — again. They need about $66,000 to keep the Fells and Hills branches operating for one more year, but organizers believe that if they go to the June 20 meeting of the Trustees of the Wellesley Free Library with more than half of that in pledges, and a solid strategy for raising the rest, they will be in good shape.
