Recluse’s passion for Civil War leads to a hefty gift

Here’s A Philly.com Story on Frederick Holzwarth, who died of lung cancer in April. He left almost everything he had – 700 Civil War books and $1.5 million – to The Bucks County Civil War Round Table in Doylestown, PA.

Note to self: In the future, don’t call major doners recluses. Also, don’t call your group “losers” in a major newspaper interview.

“But now,” Webb added, “he’s become a loner and a recluse with a lot of money. And look who got the money. These losers that get together and talk about the Civil War.”
