Rare Bible found at library part of rare auction

Look What They Found in Victoria, BC. A forgotten King James Bible found in a storage room at Victoria’s Central Library is now pictured in a glossy Sotheby’s catalogue, keeping company with letters from Abraham Lincoln, a first edition of James Joyce’s Ulysses, and an autographed manuscript of Albert Einstein, in German. The King James Bible will be in Sotheby’s Fine Books and Manuscripts sale on June 21 in Manhattan, where it’s expected to fetch about $70,000 US.
