Public Schools Receive $500,000 in Book Donations

sbutzel writes “13 schools in Grand Rapids, Michigan will receive thousands of dollars in books paid for by donors through the Grand Rapids Student Advancement Foundation. The foundation kicked off its “Need to Read” campaign by distributing nearly $500,000, the first chunk of a goal to raise $4 million to buy 20,000 books by 2008.”
